    As someone who has worked with and analysed Act! in depth, I would strongly recommend customers to fully evaluate their business needs before committing their CRM future to the product. Although feature-packed, Act! does not allow users to adjust the system to their business processes, instead they are required to adjust their ways of working to match the product.

    My investigations have also shown that the licensing model for Act! which is quite reasonable for a single-user system becomes exponentially more expensive as more users are added. Having evaluated 30+ CRM solutions in the past 12 months, Act! has scored extremely poorly in my analysis as it is not extensible, flexible nor cost-effective when compared to many other systems available, such as junariCRM

    I would strongly recommend anyone evaluating CRM solutions to map out their business processes before deciding on a system, then testing the candidate software to see whether it can be tweaked to meet those specifications. Act! cannot and will not flex and so caution should be exercised before purchasing.
