This is very odd, and I can find no solution or much on these forums in regards to this one. When I or other users go to our instance of crm http://crm we connect fine and can move around in activities and such without problem. When moving into records such as Accts, Ops, Leads, and contacts we receive a prompt to authenticate, if you enter this in it fails each time. If you simply close out the prompt you can access the record without a problem? I have no idea what could be causing this issue. The only case where I can access without being prompted is when I am on the CRM server itself. Thank
    you in advance!

Check on your CRM server to see how the initial install setup the server URL.

See HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM and the key is called ServerUrl. I had this set initially to use the FQDN rather than the NETBIOS name. We seemed to have a similar symptom where users were prompted to authenticate, but if they canceled the prompts they still got into CRM records fine.

Also, check to see if you have any saved passwords on the client PC in the user account section of Control Panel.

I checked and my key shows up as http://MICROSOFTCRM:5555/MSCRMSERVICES, would it be worth changing it to the host header I have set of http://crm? I checked and for myself I do not have p/w cached for CRM.

    Thanks for the tips.

Do you encounter the authentication prompts when using the web client to connect to http://microsoftcrm:5555/loader.aspx ?

It may be worth testing to see if it has any success.

Yes, it actually does prompt? Any thoughts on that? Thank you.
