BCM 2003 Installation Error "office has encountered a prob..."

    I just installed BCM 2003 on a different laptop. I receive the "Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close" error as soon as I select a BCM record. This will continue looping until I uncheck the "Restart Office Outlook" button.

    My system configuration is:
    Win XP Pro SP 3
    Office 2003 SP 3
    BCM 2003 SP 2

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    Have you tried the repair option for office? It does seem that something got messed up when installing the add-in. The only other thing I can think of would be to reinstall the bcm add-in.

    I didn't have any luck using the repair option. Instead, I ended up doing a complete uninstall - reinstall which was successful. I suspect something was corrupt from the first install.

    Glad it worked afterall. Indeed the repair option in Outlook 2003 is not as good as the Detect and Repair one in Outlook 2007 which helped me solve a freeze in BCM 2007.
